Latest Kit Moves
As 2026 starts up, Las Vegas and Pittsburgh made some changes to their kit providers

On January 17th, we had revealed our season expectations ahead of 2026. Since then, there have been some changes to who teams are working with for their kits. Let’s go ahead and review those two changes.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds

The reining USL-Championship winners decided to move on from Charly - who only supplied the club for two seasons. It was announced that Pittsburgh will now be going with Hummel as their Apparel and Kit Supplier. Hummel will be supplying both the Riverhounds (USL-C) and the Riveters (USL-W) as well as the Riverhounds Academy team for the 26-27 season.

Here is their statement from Instagram about the change:

"As a brand with deep roots in soccer history and a reputation for bold, bespoke design, hummel aligns perfectly with our vision for the Hounds and Riveters. This partnership is about more than just a logo on a jersey; it’s about providing our players, our academy and our supporters with world-class gear that reflects the ambition and spirit of Pittsburgh"

Maybe a slight dig at Charly in that second sentence - potentially the other apparel from Charly just wasn’t what the club wanted. From a kit perspective, I enjoyed what they were able to produce with Charly. Maybe I am looking too much into it.

Hummel CEO also made a statement:

“Our team is thrilled to be welcoming the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Riveters and academy teams to the hummel family. The Pittsburgh community backs their teams week in and week out, and we’re excited to create custom designs for this passionate fan base and city. On the back of the USL Championship victory and the planned expansion of the club’s stadium, it’s a great time to be part of the Pittsburgh soccer scene.”

Las Vegas Lights

The Las Vegas Lights - known for fun, bold and Vegas vibes in their kits, are moving on from Hummel. On January 27th, it was announced that Las Vegas will be partnering with Spanish sportswear company Joma - a first in the professional ranks (at least since we’ve been doing this).

In this long term agreement, Joma will be expanding into the North American soccer market and Las Vegas will be getting all their football-related sportswear and equipment provided. Joma will be provided fully customized match kits and training apparel. This is quite a move and further diversifies the USL’s kit landscape. I got my eye on Vegas and Joma to see what they can produce in season 1.

Marina Lopez - CEO of Joma Sport S.A. stated:

“At Joma, we continue working to offer the best product, with constant technological development and a daily commitment to giving our best to those who give everything in their sport.”

“That is why we are delighted to partner with Las Vegas Lights FC and excited to accompany them on their journey in the USL Championship. This partnership represents a fundamental step for Joma Sport in international football, and it is an honour to be the club’s Official Technical Sponsor. Commitment to excellence and the ambition to deliver the best are core values of Joma’s philosophy, which we share with Las Vegas Lights FC.”

Shawn McIntosh - CEO of Las Vegas Lights FC stated:

“We are excited to announce our partnership with Joma as the club’s Official Technical Sponsor.”

“Bringing a brand with such global heritage to the United States reflects our commitment to deliver the best possible experience for our fans, our players, and our staff. We look forward to collaborating with Joma on our best-in-class kits and apparel that showcase the style and glamour of Las Vegas.”

I will keep you posted if any other clubs make any moves - and whenever Corpus Christi announces their kit provider… It should be worth noting the club used Admiral prior to their move up to League One and are still listed as one of the club’s Corporate Partners. Stay tuned.
