These teams looked for battle-hardened inspirations ahead of their chase for that coveted trophy. But the question persists - do they look good doing so? Well, let’s take a look at the Battle Ready kits from the USL, and you tell us!
Indy Eleven: Regiment Kit

The Indy Eleven "Regiment" Kit for 2026. Earned a score of 2.38 from the team.
In honor of the Indiana 11th Regiment, the Indy Eleven have released their Regiment Kit. Utilizing the Indiana State flags colors and the Eleven's Light Blue.
In a Wycombe Wanderers-esq design, we see the two blues in a 4 square pattern. Blue and Blue always look good. Then add in the half sleeve on the right + collar in that Indiana Yellow, and this kit has to be one of the most unique in team history.
For a third kit, we always love it when teams use colors that are not a part of the team's official colors. Using the state flag is something Brett wants to see more of going forward.
Our Score: 2.38
Louisville City: Lightning Kit

The Louisville City "Lightning" Kit for 2026. Earned a score of 2.50 from the team.
The kit pays homage to the Louisville Lightning - a professional indoor soccer team that played at the Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club’s facility from 2009 to 2012, and late club founder Wayne Estopinal.
The primarily Black strip features Yellow lightning bolts on the right sleeve, reminiscent of the Lightning logo.
The front of the kit features a chevron stripe pattern, inspired by storm clouds.
Subtle, nostalgic, and comes with pop. The accents and overall fine touches across the kit bring this to life as the club honors it's past.
Our Score: 2.50
Charleston Battery: Back in Black Kit

The Charleston Battery "Back in Black" Kit for 2026. Earned a score of 3.88 from the team.
Utilizing a 1900s era map of Charleston seamlessly embedded into the Kit's design, grounding the piece in the city it proudly represents. The subtle cartographic detailing pays tribute to Charleston’s rich heritage while delivering a look that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.
Sticking with the all-black motif, the cuffs and collar are all black. Really making the Battery Yellow stand out.
Our Score: 3.88
Rally Madison: Forward Kit

The Rally Madison "Forward" Kit for 2026. Earned a score of 4.13 from the team.
In collaboration with Emily Morgan (@emilymorgancreates) - known for logo redesigns for professional teams - in the club's first artist collab. Basing the design off of the statue at the top of Wisconsin's State Capital.
Utilizing what appears almost like a Caramel swirl of a base, we get this showing of Gold. There is that more Yellow-Gold with White swirls to mimic the statue's based.
Then we have that sharp Gold color to help transition into the shoulders and framing the kit in the cuffs and collar. The shoulders have a cream/lighter Gold color to present a vast contrast to the busier main design.
Rally Madison really setting the Gold Standard for the league 🏅
Our Score: 4.13
Birmingham Legion: Forged for Battle Kit

The Birmingham Legion "Forged for Battle" Kit for 2026. Earned a score of 4.00 from the team.
Inspired by the USS Alabama and the history it carries for the state of Alabama.
The USS Alabama, also known as the “Mighty A,” is one of the most recognizable symbols of military history in Alabama. The battleship served during World War II, earned nine Battle Stars, and now rests in Mobile at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.
The design brings those details into the kit in a subtle but meaningful way.
The embossed pattern is inspired by the semaphore of the USS Alabama’s call sign, tying the kit back to the ship’s communication system and identity. The Gold trim is a nod to the anchor wheels, representing strength, stability, and the club’s place anchored in the Alabama community.
The White collar takes inspiration from naval uniforms while also giving the jersey a classic soccer look. The outline of the USS Alabama on the hip is a direct tribute to the ship and the story behind the kit.
As part of the launch, Birmingham Legion FC has made a donation to USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park to support its work preserving the ship and sharing its history with future generations.
Our Score: 4.00
