LouCity Release 2026 Kits
Louisville City have revealed their 2026 kits! The Earn Your Stripes Kit - features a white trim on the sleeves and collar - a Lou City first. The Gold Hue Kit - is primarily white, while utilizing a golden hue in a vertically stripped pattern.
As we dive into the new years kit for Louisville City, let's have a quick jump into the past.
Louisville was with ADIDAS for 10 seasons and have been very comfortable with going with a template. I’ve never had an issue with a nice looking template and Louisville has always done it well. Now with PUMA that template love has continued.
On Feb 24th, Louisville City dropped their 2026 home and away kits. With their second year with Puma there is a lot of hope in the air for a cult classic. Their home kit is a beautiful purple pinstripe kit with a white collar. While this might not be the most creative kit in the world, this is a clean cut classic that many will enjoy. The white away kit also features pinstripes with diagonal diamond design. Though, personally, I’m not a fan of majority white kits, this kit will make fans of the simple side of life very happy.
Both of these kits are made to represent the hard work to “Earn your stripes” and I believe that these do their jobs well.
As a runner we've been a fan of working out in the new puma gear from Louisville. The fabric does go skin tight when you start to sweat. This is a good thing. Chaffing was out the window, the shirt was lightweight, and it fit well and stayed cool while running. When Fox run in Louisville’s past shirts they sit heavy and hold sweat which makes it heavier.
If we had to hope for something from Louisville’s kits, it would be more creativity. I know we probably won’t get that any time soon with Puma, but I would love to see local artists or Kentucky artists showing their love for the city or state with the Louisville City purple. One day Louisville fans, I have hope that one day we will get our own personally made kit. - Fox
